Just checking in with my other weight-loss tumblies to let you all know I’m still hanging in there. I am really motivated which is good because it’s only the idea of what I want more than food that keeps me on track.
I have an accountability partner. I don’t know if I told you all or not. She posts on my wall on Facebook if I don’t tell her I’ve exercised. Since I use my facebook for business networking, it really forces me to get on the equipment and get moving!
So far I have lost 33 pounds! I still have 150 to go. But I’m pleased. I’m at least not gaining. I would like to lose faster, but I hear it’s better to lose slow anyway.
Things I”m going now to aid in my weight loss journey:
I am not focusing too much on the weight. I only weigh in about once a week or so. I get discouraged if I weigh in more often. I focus more on how my clothes are fitting and they are feeling so good! I will need new jeans pretty soon! My shirts are getting too big, too, and I’m loving it. What a problem.
I am eating a lot more veggies and fruits. I am enjoying the real tastes of food because I’m not eating any sugar.
I am happy to report that even at parties where there are copious amounts of food and sweets, I am able to maintain control because I make sure not to go too hungry. When I’m hungry, I eat protein.
I keep my goals in mind all the time when I’m tempted to eat something I shouldn’t.This helps tremendously. I picture myself in certain situations where I want my weight to be less than it is now.
I am taking B12 and it has helped my attitude tremendously, not to mention my clarity of mind and energy.
I take a very good multi-vitamin daily.
Things I need to do more of:
I need to drink more water.
I need to eat more. I’m afraid to eat and that’s not good. It’s part of my eating disorder. I was anorexic waaaaaay back in college. I am trying to learn to eat in a way that will last the rest of my life. And starving myself isn’t the answer. (Not that I’m actually starving, mind you.) I want to develop a healthier relationship with food.
I need to cook more at home. I eat too many carry out meals.
I need to up my exercise time.
Thanks for reading my blog and for your encouragement. I really appreciate it!
