Today’s Progress

Today I joined http://sparkpeople.com

I’m hoping it will help remind me that this weight-loss dream has to be a PRIORITY.  It can’t be like a hobby, or just one more thing on my to-do list.  It has got to be something I become obsessed with until my goals are met, and/or I change my habits permanently.

Right now I’m trying to decide whether to go low-carb or low-calorie.  I have only been able to stick to a diet when it’s low-carb.  I just get too hungry.

What say you?

Things I still need to do today:

  • Move my scale from the clothes closet to the kitchen
  • Weigh myself
  • Journal my feelings

I’m feeling scared.  Do you have any idea how many times I have done this?  Start a diet?  Zillions.  At least zillions.

But this time, I have got to make the change or I am going to die.  I also have a short-term goal of looking and feeling awesome for a big event in September.  I hope I can loose at least 50 pounds by then.

How much weight do I need to loose all together?

Yes, you read that right.

I am twice the woman I should be.  And more.

Please God, let this be the year.

Is there anyone out there to cheer me on?  And should I go low-carb or low calorie?
